Nepal's water resources are mismanaged and under-utilized. Multipurpose use of Phewa Lake, Kulekhani Reservoir and Kali Gandaki Hydroelectric system are discussed to put an emphasis on the greater need of understanding the impact of development on people's livelihood and and sustainability of aquatic resources.
